A Queen Anne Period Pewter Dish

The front, with a triple-reed edge, and the reverse bearing the touchmarks for William Terry, of York - one of the north's foremost pewterers. The dish is in lovely condition, excellent colour and patina - once in the collection of Dr Ron Homer (bearing his inventory label 002), sold in Sotheby's 21st July 1978.

York, circa 1700-1710.

Cotterell, 'Old Pewter, Its Makers and Marks' number 4697.
